Who is CoachLeahTM

 

Born and raised on the Southside of Minneapolis, MN,  CoachLeah's vision and goal is to provide optimal performance programming options to

arts, academic, and athletic entities through

sound - culturally diverse strategies.  

 

​​​CoachLeah's entrepreneurial drive is fueled by her experiences as

an elite-level scholar-athlete,

her enjoyment of creative and technical writing, spectator sports,

home decor design, and spending quality time with family.

​

Active in Faith Based initiatives, CoachLeah's most recent leadership roles include

a stints as Athletic Director for the Texas Christian Athletic League and

Coalition Advisor for Houston Responds. A member and part-time employee of

Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church [WABC], CoachLeah's current role includes serving as Graphics Coordinator with the Communications and Technologies Ministry in addition to providing administrative support to the WABC Production and Livestream teams.

​

While in High School, CoachLeah was a three-sport All-Conference athlete,

a USA Today's Top 50 All-American, and held the Girls' Basketball

all-time leading scorer title in the Minneapolis City Conference for a decade.

During her tenure, the Washburn Lady Millers made three consecutive trips to the

Minnesota State High School League Girls Basketball State Championships.

​

After transferring from UAB in Winter of 1983, CoachLeah attended

Tennessee Technological University and played Div. 1 women's basketball

under legendary Marynell Meadors and Bill Worrell on the nationally-ranked

Golden Eaglette women’s basketball team from 1984 – 1987.

Earning a B.S. in Speech Communications with a Broadcast Journalism concentration

 and a minor in Fashion Merchandising, created a well-rounded and multifaceted skill set

for a solid career filled with life-long learning opportunities.

​

Confirming her call to "Servant Leadership," in 2019, CoachLeah was selected as one of 40 national American Express Leadership Academy "Emerging Leaders."

Additionally, CoachLeah was selected to completed the inaugural Spiritual Warrior training for Self-Mastery in the Summer of 2020 led by host of “IYANLA: Fix My Life,”

the #1 reality show on the Oprah Winfrey Network, Rev. Dr. Iyanla Vanzant and

also completed the Green Heart Academy's Mental Health Coach and Advocate

certification in Winter of that same year.
